Homesite to Kick Off Community Investment Fund with Five New Partners

BOSTON – May 1, 2018 – Homesite Insurance (Homesite) is proud to announce the Homesite Fund, a corporate giving initiative aimed at strengthening its relationships with community-based, non-profits in cities across the country in which Homesite maintains operations. Committing to a $30,000 pledge and dedicating volunteer hours to each nonprofit, the company will kick off their community investment partnership with Rosie’s Place and New England Center and Home for Veterans in Boston, MA; Habitat for Humanity of Summit County and Ronald McDonald House Akron in Akron, OH; and Southwest Human Development in Phoenix, AZ beginning in May.

“At Homesite, we recognize the importance of giving back, especially in the communities where we live and work,” said Chris Conti, Executive Vice President of Homesite and leader of the Homesite Fund Initiative. “We are grateful both for our ability to donate these funds and for the energy and passion our employees continue to display in support of those in need.”

The Homesite Fund encourages employees to continue giving their time and talent by volunteering at each nonprofit or making monetary, clothing, or household item donations. Homesite also supports its employees as they continue coordinating small and large group volunteer activities at other nonprofits whose mission and vision is tied to their core values. In addition to the partnership, the company will give employees two full days of paid time off per year to volunteer at any nonprofit of their choice.

Homesite’s community engagement stems from a tradition of giving back to organizations whose mission and purpose connect most with its employees in their local neighborhoods. The Homesite Fund will allow them to work with the five community investment partners in a more meaningful way, along with other nonprofits of their choice.

“Each nonprofit has a unique way of helping to improve the lives of some of the more vulnerable individuals in these cities with the hope of enabling them to pursue their desired path in life,” Conti said. “We are proud to support these organizations through what we refer to as our 3T’s, our Time, Talent, and Treasure. Our mission is to make a real difference in these communities.”
